Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-05-08

These terms apply to anyone who uses postdoc.jp, the rating registry on api.postdoc.jp, and any case lab or research challenge announced through this site.

Nature of the service

postdoc.jp publishes research, models, and ratings as a public commons. Any rating, valuation, or scenario you read here is a research artifact — not investment advice, not a solicitation, and not a guarantee of project performance.

Case labs and research challenges

Case labs, research challenges, and any associated participation programs described on postdoc.jp are in planning. Eligibility, prizes, schedules, and outcomes are not contractual until announced via a signed instrument and will be subject to additional terms at that time.

Submitted content

When you submit models, code, or written analysis (e.g. via GitHub or the rating registry), you grant Japan Postdoc Job Center a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and reference the work in the public registry. You retain copyright. We will not relicense or sublicense your work without explicit consent.

Acceptable use

Do not use postdoc.jp to harass, defame, or impersonate other researchers; to reverse-engineer authentication; or to publish content protected by another party's copyright without permission.

Liability

postdoc.jp and Japan Postdoc Job Center provide this service on an as-is basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for losses arising from use of the ratings, models, or code published here.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, with exclusive jurisdiction in the Tokyo District Court for the first instance.
